Telecom Sheet Metal Fabrication

Telecom equipment has to survive twenty years outdoors and still line up with a rack unit. We fabricate telecom sheet metal parts from your drawings — from a single prototype to volume runs of thousands — at our factory in Huizhou, Guangdong, China.

What we make for telecom customers

  • 19-inch rack cabinets, subracks and mounting rails
  • Outdoor base-station structural parts (welded assemblies)
  • Equipment enclosures, doors and side panels
  • Antenna and pole mounting brackets
  • Cable management trays and grounding plates
  • Galvanized and powder-coated housings

Typical parts: telecom rack cabinet, cabinet frame, welded assembly, mounting bracket, equipment panel.

Why telecom sheet metal is difficult

Three problems come up on almost every telecom project:

  • Rack unit alignment. A 42U cabinet has forty-two pairs of mounting holes that all have to line up. If the bend sequence or the press-brake tooling changes between batches, the rails stop being interchangeable. We fix the datum and lock the bend sequence to a numbered routing, so batch 20 matches batch 1.
  • Grounding and EMC. Painted surfaces do not conduct. Bonding points have to be masked before coating, and the mask has to stay in the same place every time. We mark bonding areas on the drawing and mask them in production, then check contact resistance on samples.
  • Galvanizing distortion. Hot-dip galvanizing runs at roughly 450 °C and will warp thin panels and long doors. Where a customer specifies hot-dip, we design with the distortion in mind — heavier gauge, stiffening ribs, and jig support through the process.

Quality control

Every order passes four inspection stages — incoming material, first article, in-process and outgoing. Key dimensions are checked on a coordinate measuring machine and the records are kept for traceability. First-article parts can be shipped to you for approval before the batch runs.

Drawing formats

Send DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, PDF or a physical sample. If you only have a sketch or a concept, our engineers can work with you to turn it into a manufacturable sheet metal design.

Frequently asked questions

What is your minimum order quantity?

There is no fixed MOQ. We prototype from one piece, and the unit price drops as volume rises. For telecom cabinets, most customers start with a small pilot batch and scale up.

Can you match an existing cabinet we already buy?

Yes. Send a sample or a full drawing set and we will reproduce it, including any hardware and hole patterns.

How do you protect parts in transit?

Standard export packing — corner protection, interleaved sheets, and cartons or plywood cases sized to your container. We can also pack to your own specification.

Send us your drawings

Email drawings or a download link with your requirements — material, thickness, quantity and finish — and we will come back with a quotation, usually within 24 hours. You can also contact us here or read more about custom fabrication from drawings.
